"BABY BLUE JAYS"

"The "BABY BLUE JAYS" are two in this little
miniature Prismacolor Pencil on Strathmore Paper work. My husband was walking our darling Old English Sheep Dog, Riley Wiggins. Our rustic home in Northeastern Pa. sat in a lovely wooded lot in heart of the Pocono Mountains. It is a birdwatchers' paradise there.. Nature abounds!
Robert noticed the little blue jays a few days earlier... but at that time .. there were three! This day, there were two.. so .. it appeared that one of the little ones had realized a bit more "get up and go" and was definitely a little more confident.. if not comically brazen... unlike the two remaining siblings. So his "Get up and go.. got up and went!" He decided it was time to venture out into the wide open spaces.. an unaccompanied tour, if you will!
The two little ones you see here were obviously deciding which one of them was going to take wing next.. The little guy on the left boasts a more confident, if not downright comical cocky attitude! It appears that with a face like that .. this one will be next to venture out into the world. The last of the three baby blue jays looks quite settled and comfortable just where he is .. and not at all in any hurry ...
The next time out , Robert shot a photo of which would be ...to most.. ."just 2 little baby blue jays..." However, to me .. I saw quite a bit of attitude and character in their little faces..
I found myself smiling as I was working on this piece.. As I worked on it, I found myself especially enjoying the face of the guy on the left... getting all puffed up and ready to soar!!!!
Now the next thing was to keep our dog, Riley Wiggins, from noticing a few turkey or some deer and then barking madly! A bark like that could surely stop the little bird from taking wing.. and knock out even the most confident of the living.. However.. I have a feeling that with a face like this little bird has... Even the bark of our beloved dog would not stop him..Perhaps moreso.. that sound would be just the last little push to send him on his way.!
I hope you enjoy my little "BABY BLUE JAYS' with an "attitude" and that they will bring a smile to your faces , as they did to mine, as I enjoyed working on them to present to you!"
Thank You For Visiting!
